Grief Rising was a collective exhibition by Tāmaki-Makaurau artists Jude Saint, Roro Vinod, Olivia Herkt, and Niamh Maher. The opening took place on May 21st, 2023, and was hosted by Mother Mother, an alternative curatorial model gallery. I was tasked with documenting the space before the event for the artists' personal use and archival purposes.
The exhibition showcased each artist's chosen disciplinary practice(s), including painting, sculpture, textiles, and literature. The group focused their work, in addition to a written piece each, about their relationship to gender identity, sexual intimacy, and otherness.
