Rogue Aotearoa is a community response to New Zealand Fashion Week; a DIY showcase for connecting and platforming emerging designers and creatives from across Aotearoa.
Taking place at the Mount Albert War Memorial Hall on August 25th 2023, the highly anticipated runway displayed the work of 24 designers, valuing collaboration, community, accessibility, and inclusivity.
Many, many volunteers offered their labour to assist with certain parts of the show according to one's skill sets. The Rogue team had a plethora of photographers and videographers stationed around the venue during the night, allowing us to capture the show through our own unique vision. I was approached to primary shoot some behind the scenes footage of the show, amid all the chaos.
Most of these images have featured in a column on independent contemporary art magazine The Art Paper's online bulletin / E-Journal.
Additionally, some imagery was used for a brief review of the event written for Pōneke/Wellington based online magazine Mouthfull as a part of their monthly newsletter.
